Rinpoche with Sangha in Melbourne, Australia, November 2009
News & AnnouncementsWelcome to Lotus Speech USA
As President of Lotus Speech Australia, I am delighted to offer you, on behalf of all our Australian members, a very warm welcome to the Ven Changling Rinpoche’s (Ngawang Lekshey Gyaltso Tulku) worldwide Buddhist activities, intended to actively benefit all members of society, whatever political, religious or moral views they may hold, and whatever their ethnicity. Of course, as you all know, this active wish to benefit others lies at the very heart of our Buddhist teachings and practice.
As a not-for-profit Buddhist organization registered in Australia, Lotus Speech Australia naturally applauds your efforts in endeavouring to establish Lotus Speech USA as a similar organization. Our LSA committee members look forward to working with you from afar, and helping you in any whatever way that we can.
As fellow Lotus Speech organizations around the world, we have a busy and challenging time ahead, not just in hearing and reflecting on the teachings given by the Ven Changling Rinpoche, but putting them into practice in everyday life.
Here at LSA, it is our hope that we can all work across the world to help preserve and ensure the precious continuity of our unique and unbroken oral and textual lineages of Tibetan Buddhist teaching received from our immediate teachers, and their teachers before them. Without our support as Buddhist students, there is always a chance that these unique lineages will be lost to the world.
Right now, we are fortunate to have the Ven Changling Rinpoche teaching in Australia – Rinpoche would like to convey his best wishes and support to all of you there in establishing Lotus Speech USA.
Kindest regards, John Newnham President LSA on behalf of all our LSA members
On behalf of the Lotus Speech international sangha I would like to officially welcome the new Lotus Speech USA! We are very excited to have more people wishing to be a part of Changling Rinpoche's activities around the world and welcome your support. Whether simply listening to Rinpoche's teachings and practicing more loving kindness mindfully in your daily life, to actively providing financial support or volunteering your time and ultimately increasing and spreading enlightened activity to all corners of the world. We are very excited for the year ahead for in 2010 many of us will be fortunate enought to meet and receive teachings from Changling Rinpoche's root teacher here in Canada and the US, the Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche. May this be the continuation of many more wonderful events, benefiting all!
